Gratitude to Our Contributors

Before proceeding with any introduction, I would like to express my gratitude to God for granting me the opportunity to pursue what I love most in life. I am also deeply thankful to my parents, who have passed away many years ago. They devoted themselves tirelessly, making numerous sacrifices to provide my brothers and me with a comfortable, safe and memorable childhood.

I am also proud to be a link in an incredible chain of people driven by humanity before profit, incredible talents who every day add a brick to the building of this ecosystem and without whom nothing could have come to fruition. Sincere thanks to Andre, Schani, Jimmy, Elias, Zaina, Medi, Ouiam, Chouchou, Youssef, Chniber, Malik, Sapna, Mario, Habibu, Maliha and Miss OKI. I am honored and fortunate to have crossed your path.

Geeky Beginnings

Back in the day, I was deeply immersed in American and Belgian comics, and I spent countless hours exploring the world of video games. It all began with my trusty Commodore 64, yeah..back when games were stored on cassette tapes... and after saving up for three years, I finally acquired an American NES. Money was tight, couldn't even splurge on a used old game cartridge or a simple board game. So, I got creative and started crafting my own board games at just 11 years old, with my younger sister and our neighbor, who was her age, as both my audience and playtesters.

When I turned 15, I dove headfirst into music, all thanks to my older brother who was a total guitar wizard. I practically lived with my guitar, jamming out to everything from metal to reggae, blues, Rock and classics. I was totally obsessed.

Then came the time for responsibilities to kick in. I had to pick a career, and I ended up choosing IT design and programming. And you know what? I loved it. From HTML to JavaScript, Java, C++, PHP... I was devouring code. Time flew by as I spent years working and acquiring skills in various areas for different entities in the fields of media and communication, computer engineering, biometrics, and secure systems in banking payment solutions. In 2012, I flew into Canada like a bird in search of new opportunities, leaving behind the warm sun of my dear country, Morocco. The same year i crossed paths with Bitcoin during a chat with my first boss here in Canada, who happened to be a retired physician. He casually dropped, "Hey, I want you to do some research about Bitcoin." And just like that, my crypto adventure began.

And now, here I am, much older, still a total geek, doing my darnedest to whip up something special in the entertainment realm. Funny how life works out, right? About a decade ago, I crossed paths with Andre up in Montreal, and we've been cooking up projects together ever since.

Today, I'm stoked to be the Co-Founder of OKI NEXT TECH, rolling out our killer lineup. We've got everything from top-notch apps and cutting-edge PWAs to console and hybrid board games all jazzed up with some revolutionary blockchain tech. In this crazy whirlwind of change, software development's gone through a total makeover. It's not just about computer wizards anymore; it's a rad collab between us humans and the mega brains of AI supercomputers. This fusion's paving the way for a whole new era of awesome.
